Product Overview
Steps are designed to provide safe access to underground manholes and man entry chambers. Insert steps are designed to be used with the range of Caswick inserts, the inserts are cast into the concrete as it is poured, the steps are hammered into the insert after it has cured. They are manufactured from virgin polypropylene copolymer plastic and reinforced with structural carbon steel. This provides high strength with excellent corrosion resistance. The steps are manufactured in high visibility colours with a slip resistant design.
There are several variants of the step offering a range of product styles as well as differing production methods used by customers. The advantages of cast in steps are:
- Can be use in both wet cast and dry cast manufacturing processes
- Minimises time to fit step in high output environments
- Manholes can be stocked without steps having their steps fitted at the time of dispatch or even sold without steps. This simplifies factory management.
