ST. LOUIS — April 8, 2024 — Afinitas, the leading global infrastructure equipment and services company, has named David Drees as President of the Afinitas Forming Systems Division. Drees replaces Jason Duncan, who was promoted to Afinitas CEO in December 2023. Drees has nearly two decades of experience in the construction industry. He comes to Afinitas from Accu-Steel Fabric Covered Buildings in Des Moines, IA, where since 2022 he served as Vice President of Operations. Prior to Accu-Steel, Drees was in leadership positions at EFCO Formwork Solutions, also in Des Moines, for more than 15 years. Drees also served in several roles at Gateway Computers in North Sioux City, SD, including Senior Manager of CIS Operations, Senior Mechanical Engineer, Packaging Product Manager and Manufacturing Engineer. In his nearly 10 years at Gateway, he had a proven track record of generating revenue and developing cost-saving efficiencies for the company. Drees, who will be based in Iowa, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.
“I am thrilled to have someone with Dave’s extensive leadership experience in business and operations, as well as the technical know-how he brings to the role,” said Jason Duncan, Afinitas CEO. “I can’t wait to see the successful strategies and high-performing teams he will build for Afinitas and our Forming Systems Division.”
