Afinitas designs and manufactures fish barrier screens and grates for habitat conservation companies.

Working one on one with the customer, the design team can turn the concept into a finished product. Our design team improved an existing mechanism called fish fingers, a control structure which allows water and aquatic vegetation to flow through while keeping fish from jumping back over into the wetland. The main purpose of many of these fish barrier screens and grates is to prevent rough fish from getting into the wetlands and degrading the habitat, blocking sunlight from plants, and diminishing the food supply for native water fowl.
