This Spacer has Box Lok-type characteristics which will tightly lock the inner and outer cages together into an integral unit of reinforcement at a specific distance without having any steel protruding into the cover area. Designed for producing large concrete products such as box culverts, round pipes, or other structures where steel cannot be used in the cover area. This allows you to use alternative materials when needed in the cover area, such as plastic or concrete spacers, to meet tough specifications that do not allow steel in the cover area. The unique design uses heavy, spring steel construction and the twist lock applicator locks to both the inner and outer cage to dependably space each cage from both form surfaces without welding.
