Barry Bauer to lead new, unified team to provide more customer service
ST. LOUIS — May 25, 2023 — Afinitas, the leading global infrastructure equipment and services company, has combined its Forming Systems and Concrete Accessories sales teams into one, unified sales organization that will better align its operations and provide more comprehensive service to customers in North America.
Barry Bauer, an industry veteran, will lead the new sales team as the Vice President of Sales for Forming/Concrete Accessories. Bauer joined Afinitas in late April, bringing considerable experience from his time at Forterra (now Rinker) where he served as Vice President of Commercial and National Director of Sales for Bio Clean. Bauer also was the Director of Technical Resources at Oldcastle Stormwater Solutions and Regional Director of Sales and Marketing at Foley Products Company. He has previously served as a board member of the American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA) and Vice Chairman of the ACPA Marketing Committee. Bauer is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from The Ohio State University and an MBA from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.

Afinitas also welcomes two new sales managers to the Forming/Concrete Accessories sales team: Steve Draginis and Shawn Vickers. Draginis, based in Markesan, WI, will handle the Upper Midwest region and brings more than 20 years of experience in the construction and contracting markets. He was most recently the Regional Development Manager for Powersports Company in Beaver Dam, WI. Draginis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, as well as an MBA from the Keller Graduate School (Lincolnshire, IL). Vickers, who has worked for Afinitas concrete accessories company Amifast since 2006, is moving from his current Amifast sales role to the Afinitas Forming/Accessories sales position. At Amifast, he worked in a number of areas, including sales, operations and product sourcing and was responsible for bringing several new products into the Amifast portfolio.
